The Lineup

Lela Cocoros – One of October Strategies’ co-founders, Lela oversees multiple client projects, building from her extensive professional leadership and experience in corporate communications. She designs strategic communications programs, explores visibility and business opportunities for clients, and develops innovative concepts for marketing communications, public relations and events. She is also responsible for business development and growth and diversification strategies for the company and is October Strategies’ authority on Internet resources and database management. Lela is a dedicated film scholar and a voracious consumer of news, information and ideas. Since her very first haircut, she has worn bangs – primarily because she’s too impatient to grow them out.

LaRae Marsik – LaRae’s expertise in corporate communications strategy, brand development, media and public relations is applied to October Strategies’ client projects through her involvement in designing client information and public relations campaigns, creating innovative marketing communications programs and executing tactical elements of October Strategies’ strategic communications recommendations. Co-founder of October Strategies, she is heavily involved in international, technical and new business initiatives and is the financial manager for the company. One of Denver’s remaining natives, LaRae is an avid hockey fan and photo archive nut who, in her youth, entertained thoughts of becoming a fighter pilot before her career in communications took off.

Joanne Dant – As a Senior Associate for October Strategies, Joanne Dant works with a wide range of October Strategies clients, handling public relations campaign development, tactical execution, media relations outreach and creative promotional initiatives. Joanne specializes in increasing client visibility and works extensively with national and local consumer and trade media. With experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, her strengths lie in finding creative and original solutions to client’s communications needs by utilizing her knowledge of coordinated media programs, advertising strategies and promotional writing. A resident of Colorado from the age of three, Joanne loves all things "Colorado," from camping and skiing to the Broncos and Buffs.

Joe Boyle – A startup specialist who was involved in the launch of some of cable’s most recognizable brands, Joe brings a highly strategic approach to client services and problem solving that fits in quite well at October Strategies. A well-known PR and promotions executive with over 20 years in the business and a proven track record in the promotion of media companies, products and sports and entertainment programming, Joe has provided publicity and corporate communications services to a wide range of clients and was highly instrumental in developing, branding, launching and promoting Video-On-Demand, High Definition Television and digital sports packages — with an Interactive Television Emmy, a Sports Emmy and a CTAM Tami Award to show for his efforts. Although the accent is ancient history, and the address has changed many times over the years, Joe’s heart is still in Brooklyn where he was born, grew up and learned the ropes.
